I remember reading this book when I was a teenager and loving the book. My library had the ebook so i checked it out to see if it was how i remembered it. It was. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

Grab a box of tissues and anything else you might need to feel some serious feelings, because things on my book podcast are about to get heavy (and maybe a litttttle melodramatic). Episode 249 brings you a conversation about Lurlene McDaniel‘s SIX MONTHS TO LIVE and the origins of so-called “sick lit.” 💔 Listen at the link in my bio!

Now that my tree is up ive been getting nostalgic! When we were little my cousin and i always used to compare presents. One year the only thing on my list was books, a lot of books. My parents bought every book on my list. Most were Lurlene McDaniel books. The look of horror on my cousins face still makes me giggle! These books may have been morbid to some 10 year olds, but these sparked my love of reading! Life isnt always puppies and horses! 📚

Notafraidofwords Are you kidding? She was my favorite author ever !!!! 6y
Notafraidofwords @bookish_wookish it was always about someone dying and then like a romance. 6y
EH2018 Just found a couple at a book sale! I devoured these when I was a teen 6y

Today was so fun! I remembered our discussion about Lurlene McDaniel, and I thought I had my old copy, but Google to the rescue. This was my fave book. I wanted that teddy bear so bad. Did not know it was a series, but I won't be finishing it now...

LauraBrook Hah, oh my god! I never read her, though I wanted to. I was into Christopher Pike and V C Andrews more. Dang, I'm going to pick one up at a thrift store and enjoy the ridiculousness of it! 7y
