People are full of pain. When an imperfect person attempts to accept the imperfections of other people, the result is always painful, because individual storms that find their way into our hearts survive in different places. Sometimes we tend to focus on images that appear to be strangely alive.

It‘s our first night in our apartment. I‘m reading and watching cats go by. I haven‘t had much time to read lately, and I‘m waaaay behind on my reading goal. 😞

I‘m enjoying this book, but some of the writing is awkward. I‘m wondering if it‘s the translation? Probably.

I wouldn‘t call this a long book, but it‘s the longest Banana Yoshimoto Book I‘ve found. 📖

BarbaraBB Looks gorgeous! I only read Kitchen but I want to read more of her. 5y
m.galehuxley Lizard is another great one of hers! I think her short story collections are usually her strongest, but I‘m loving this book so far! 5y

Pickpick

Giving Banana Yoshimoto another chance. Some books from her I really liked, others I totally despised. We'll see into which category this one falls.
