I‘ve just started the process of scanning all my books and starting an electronic database ( #newyearresolution !). I‘m using BOOK CRAWLER. Is anyone one else using this?? Hints and tips gratefully received!! #bookdatabase #gettingorganised #organisingthetbr

Vbrrgirl Sounds like a huge project! 6y
Mitch I think you‘re right @Vbrrgirl ! At the moment I‘m only doing fiction and have set myself he target of the month to get them all logged and then tagged! 6y
Christine11 I really need to do this but it‘s just such a huge task ! 🤣 Good luck with it ! 😊 6y

LMJenkins @Mitch I am going to look into this! Thanks. 6y
tricours Just curious: what‘s the advantage of this vs Goodreads? 6y
RidgewayGirl I use LibraryThing to catalog my books. 6y
ErickaS_Flyleafunfurled Oh wow - cool!! Will look into this! 6y
Mitch Hi @tricours I chose Book Crawler because it backs up the catalog to Dropbox and links to an international library finder. It can also be viewed offline. But I‘m yet to work out if I‘ve made the right choice! 6y
minkyb I use library thing which has been a huge help but I am intrigued by the back up ability of Book Crawler. 🤔 6y
Mitch I tried it out yesterday @minkyb after I‘d catalogued one bookcase. It worked well and then I imported from Dropbox the catalog file so my iPad and phone - so now it‘s across all three platforms. Only pain is it‘s not automatic, so you have to remember to do it! 6y
