Dragon Ball, Vol. 1
Dragon Ball, Vol. 1: The Monkey King | Akira Toriyama
3 posts | 6 read | 1 to read
Before there was Dragon Ball Z, there was Akira Toriyama's action epic Dragon Ball, starring the younger version of Son Goku and all the other Dragon Ball Z heroes! Meet a naive young monkey-tailed boy named Goku, whose quiet life changes when he meets Bulma, a girl who is on a quest to collect seven "Dragon Balls." If she gathers them all, an incredibly powerful dragon will appear and grant her one wish. But the precious orbs are scattered all over the world, and Bulma needs Goku's help (and his super-strength)! With a magic staff for a weapon and a flying cloud for a ride, Goku sets out on the adventure of a lifetime... -- VIZ Media

7/10:
Finally starting my journey through the entire Dragon Ball universe via the manga! These first 11 chapters are so much fun, albeit have a lot more perversion of Bulma than I expected. Obviously her and Goku are a blast with one another, but I‘m also really enjoying Yamcha so far!

Mehso-so

Been trying out my new Libby app and decided to read Dragon Ball for the first time. It's pretty entertaining, but I could do without the reoccurring jokes at Bulma's expensive which more or less boil down to casual sexual harassment. Like the running joke about seeing her underwear gets kind of old. Because "lol she's a girl!" But I guess I can't deny I'm interested to see where the plot goes.

My collection of Japanese Manga!! 🤗 I was very fond of Japanese graphic novels in my late teens/early 20‘s- and still enjoy them occasionally these days (and anime as well ❤️) though not as much as I used to... #GraphicNovels #JapaneseManga
