"Thank You, Amelia Bedelia" by Peggy Parish, Illustrated by Barbara Slebel Thomas. Great-Aunt Myra is coming for a visit and Mrs. Rogers is in a tisy. This is the first time that Great-Aunt Myra is coming for a visit and Mrs. Rogers wants everything to be perfect. With Amelia Bedelia's help Great-Aunt Myra is in for a ride. The link I found is a fun activity you can use in your classrooms.

Dbenford https://www.abcteach.com/documents/thank-you-amelia-bedelia-primaryelem-book-i-a.... The UDL I chose was 9.1 (Promote expectations and beliefs that optimize motivation). The ELL strategy I chose was 36 (Ask numerous questions which require higher level thinking responses. You could use this book for IR, S, RA, SR, and PR. #UCFLAE3414F17 6y

TY Amelia Bedelia by Peggy Parrish, illus. By Barbara Siebel Thomas is great for LC in lower grades. This is a silly book about a maid who does all of her chores quite literally. While she works, she destroys clothes, ruins things and makes messes, but in the end she is still well loved by her friends. UDL 1.2-alts. for auditory info (Explain what was meant vs. what was performed) EL 11-Place language in meaningful context. #UCFLAE3414F17

Karlee.Diamond http://m.abcteach.com/document.php?id=16707 This link takes you to a website which has vocabulary worksheets to use while reading. As they encounter a word or phrase, they write down what they think it means. Great resource to enhance vocabulary and comprehension. (edited) 7y
