The River of Adventure
The River of Adventure | Enid Blyton
2 posts | 5 read | 1 to read
Enid Blyton's much-loved classic series, packed full of adventure and mystery. A river cruise through ancient desert lands will be an adventure in itself, think Philip, Dinah, Lucy-Ann and Jack. An adventure it certainly is, especially when Bill disappears and the children, along with Kiki the parrot, are trapped beneath a forgotten temple where no one has set foot for 7,000 years. First published in 1955, this edition contains the original text and is unillustrated.

Discovered that my library does have some Enid Blyton books although not ones I‘m familiar with. Having grown up in once-British settlement of Singapore, Enid Blyton books were a big part of my childhood. Wasn‘t expecting to see her name in our library in suburban America!

Liatrek My friend from India is having a baby and mentioned she was looking for this authors Brer Rabbit books. I couldn‘t find any at first then found a set on Etsy and order them they came from Australia. She was super happy to have books from her childhood for the baby 😊 So, cool to see this post. 5y

Pickpick

Like generations of children I fell in love with reading largely due to Enid Blyton and she hasn‘t lost the ability to enchant. The last in the Adventure series, set near the borders of Syria bringing the colourful world to life. I adore Kiki, the parrot the most and I still see Dinah, Jack, Lucy-Ann and Philip out there still pursuing adventures.
