It's a truth universally acknowledged that a single woman in possession of a good job, four bossy sisters and a needy cat must also have want of her one true love. Or is it? Another delightful novel from the author of The Little Bookshop of Lonely Hearts. Perfect for fans of Lucy Diamond and Jenny Colgan

I loved Very so much! I also loved secondary characters who were already familiar from the first installment. All characters were fleshed out nicely and that made everything feel alive.

I loved how fun this book was, some sentences made me laugh and setting was also awesome.

This was really delightful story that was so much more realistic than so many other romance novels.

Following almost straight on from the first book, this time about Verity. Each chapter is headed by a 'Pride & Prejudice' quote with more sprinkled through the chapters, since Very has memorised the book. Happy to say I can identify them all. 😄

I really enjoyed True Love at the Lonely Hearts Bookshop! It's the second in the series by Annie Darling. I really liked the fact that this one mostly followed different characters then the first book. So you can read it as a stand alone book if you haven't read the first one. True Love follows Verity True and Johnny Love who met all thanks to her fake boyfriend "Peter The Oceanographer".

Listening to book two from the Lonely Hearts Bookshop series by Annie Darling. Hopefully I like it as much as the first. I'm currently writing a couple cards/letters to send to some of my #LitsyLove pals. I'm sorry I went missing but I'm back to it now. If any one I haven't written to yet in there is interested in a letter/card/postcard let me know ❤

Very good. Even though at times I wasn't that taken with Verity (the main character) she eventually grew on me and the story with it and was sad to end the story as it was so good.

Picked this up in the very limited English section at the Vienna train station. I was looking for something light because I can't read anything heavy when I'm on vacation and traveling. This was a fun book. Perfect for what I needed and exactly what you would expect from the cover. There's a book that comes before it but it stands just fine on its own. I particularly enjoyed the Jane Austen/ Pride and Prejudice references 😊

Lovely, light fluffy romance. Villains (the awful and self centred Marissa), tortured heroes (Johnny) and an Elizabeth Bennet channelling leading lady (Verity) all blend together to make a delicious journey from accepting loneliness as your fate to embracing the joys and compromises of loving someone. You know what the end will be, but the route there is extremely fun. Give William and Elspeth a sequel!
