From underwater caves to mystical selkies, students will love to read this. This book would be best as IR. ESOL 42 and 44 could be beneficial in that timelines and thinking skills could be used to show deeper understanding. The UDL principals 3.3 and 3.4 regarding comprehension would be appropriate for this read.

For example, if educators choose to have their students reading this book independently, they may have their students participate in fun “tweets” or “blogs” in order to show understanding of comprehension and promote the beginnings of a literature circle.
