Simple Things: Becoming a Godly Woman in an Ungodly World
Simple Things: Becoming a Godly Woman in an Ungodly World | Suzanne Schaffer
3 posts | 1 read
We tend to complicate the Christian life. At it's heart it's loving God and loving people. The easiest way to do this is to be Christ-like in all we do. Simple Things explores how to do this in daily life, in our relationships, online interactions, and at home. Through wit and wisdom, Simple Things will nudge you closer to your creator. All proceeds from Simple Things go directly to Convoy: Women, a division of Convoy of Hope that gives women around the world tools and training to make better lives for their families. I'm about 3/4 through the #SimpleThingsBook now, but Chapter 2 (titled "Zoey") focuses on how the author got her dog. It's a great story for any animal lover and made me want to cuddle up with my #beagle since she's visiting #DogsofLitsy

Simple Things can be ordered through Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Suzanne-Schaffer/e/B071K9LKSM/ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1?qid=1497967923&sr=8-1). All sale proceeds go to benefit Convoy:Women (www.convoyofhope.org)

I've never been too keen on hour-long breaks at work, but at least it gives me more time to squeeze some reading in!! #SimpleThingsBook #SimpleThings

Three books from my first order from #ThiftBooks! I've been most anticipating the top book #SimpleThingsBook. I'm just three chapters in and I don't want to put it down! All the proceeds of Simple Things book sales go to Convoy:Women (www.convoyofhope.org). The book can be ordered on Amazon ($9.99) paperback or Kindle version, if you are interested!

Myhometownandbeyond Book outlet is a good place to find books as well and usually come in better condition then thrift books.. The downside is the selection is not as big. 7y
jess_turtlebeanz @Rachael5248 I've looked at Book Outlet too, most books are cheaper there if I can find them, but the downside for me is that I have to spend $35 to get free shipping. The books I got from Thrift Books came in pretty good shape. 7y
Myhometownandbeyond One time... I received a book from Thriftbooks and the front cover was completely torn off. I guess it just depends. I use both online stores from time to time. However, I agree that the shipping is better on Thriftbooks. (edited) 7y
jess_turtlebeanz Oh goodness! Yeah, that would deter me from using an online bookstore again. Hopefully my next purchase will be like my first! 7y
