It's such a nice day that the windows are open. It's also recycling day and Flour has just heard the truck for probably the first time. Oh that face 😹

Fabulous NF option for young readers! Illustrations are great & though published in '92, is still relevant! Gets scientific & could be used to integrate a community project or in class activity like composting. The facts @ the end called "can you believe" are enlightening to say the least. A great unit idea based on World Recycling Day that includes vocab/other texts:https://www.monroecounty.gov/p/des-AmericaRecycleTeacherBook.pdf #UCFLAE3414su17

DrSpalding Gibbons is an excellent non-fiction author. This aligns with second grade science standards. Nice resource to accompany a well written post. 7y
Angiepuc That's awesome, you combine science with this book and mix the two with teaching the importance of recycling and keeping our earth safe! 7y
Ashleywwolfe @Angiepuc thank you!! I'm kinda granola crunchy :) 7y
