Wasn‘t until I finished the book that I saw the family tree at the front. That sure would have helped as I was reading it. Had the hardest time remembering who was who and how they were related. The story weaves back and forth in time and it felt like a bit of a muddle. The author packs a lot into this multigenerational story and I‘m happy to have finished it. January‘s #bookspin.

Ruthiella People talk about loving maps in books, but I do love a good family tree (though they can occasionally be spoilers). 😀 2y
Suet624 @Ruthiella hadn‘t thought about spoiler potential! 2y
Ruthiella When the tree shows who married who and who died when...I found that out when I read 2y

Everything about this book captured my heart - the story, the characters, the writing, the setting. I wanted to be a fly in the wall of #Eden so badly. It's a masterful multigenerational family drama that magically weaves the past with the present. I found my heart aching - as if I was personally going through the character's lives; it's relatable in many ways. It's the perfect summer read!

Eden is a beautifully written debut novel that centers around a family's summer vacation home throughout the generations and all the family drama that goes with it. At first it was hard for me to keep all the family members straight, but thankfully the author included a family tree at the beginning of the book. I highly recommend this one! 4.5/5⭐
