Green Arrow Vol. 1 (Rebirth)
Green Arrow Vol. 1 (Rebirth) | Ben Percy
5 posts | 5 read
Green Arrow's life will be forever changed as he is betrayed by those closest to him! A budding relationship with Black Canary forces Ollie to confront the fact that he can't fight "the man" if he is "the man." And one by one, his friends desert him-and all the money in the world won't bring them back when he needs them most. Collects GREEN ARROW: REBIRTH #1 and GREEN ARROW #1-5.

Percy has a knack for action, plot, and dialogue. Set in Seattle, this new Green Arrow run doesn't try to go too big too fast. It concentrates on Oliver's relationship with his family and love interest, Black Canary.

Pickpick

Point the first: my first two dips into Rebirth have taught me I have no idea how DC continuity works.

Point the second: I still really really like Green Arrow, and despite my continuity confusion this volume left me eager to see where things'll go from here. I especially want to watch Ollie and Emi's relationship evolve, and I hope Ollie's SJW journey takes him in a productive direction. Dude's got a lot to learn about helping people.

TobeyTheScavengerMonk An unreasonable amount of my brain is devoted to keeping up with DC continuity shenanigans. (edited) 7y
xicanti @TobeyTheScavengerMonk Oh, DC. So opaque to newbies. I feel like some stuff's been completely written over, but some of it hasn't? Maybe because of the different Earths, but maybe not? 7y

I don't have anything serious going on for the rest of the day, so I've decided it's beer o'clock. #bookandbeer

It's gloriously warm out and I've got ACTUAL FREE TIME, so I'm about to do some serious outdoor reading. Both the comics are due back Friday, and I've been poking away at FORTUNE'S CURSE for too damned long, especially given how great it is.

Speaking of which, I asked Litsy to add it around a week ago, and it's still not in the database. :( I thought they were super speedy these days.
