A teenage girl is murdered while babysitting and multiple potential suspects are explored in this well-paced mystery. While a pick overall, I was bothered by two clues characters were given before the reader knew them. It drives me crazy when authors do that, but at least the interval between not knowing and knowing the info was short. I will definitely be looking for other books from this author.

Definitely a good book with a slow build. Overall very enjoyable! This is my second book by Eric Rickstad and I feel more accustomed to his writing style. I did enjoy it though, a good detective mystery novel.

Just finished this one. This is the first in the series, so naturally I read it last. It would normally drive me crazy that I read them out of order but I read book 2 before I knew it was a series and book 3 takes place immediately after book 2 so I naturally had to read that one before this. Anyways, another great book by Rickstad. Really enjoying the characters and if I read right, he plans on continuing which I really hope he does.

A babysitter is murdered while she is sitting for an attorney who is involved in a controversial lawsuit. Related or coincidence? This has a few good twists. This also provides more background story for Detective Sonja Test, also in Rickstad's other novel, The Silent Girls.
