6 posts | 20 read | 11 to read

🌕🌕🌑🌑🌑 I was having a really hard time getting myself to read this book. It just wasn't engaging and was a bit too on the philosophical side for me. (Not that I don't like philosophy, just not this particular kind.) The romance was what really tipped me over the edge. Justin is not only three years older than Maddie (something I could overlook if they actually acted mature), but they also have minimal chemistry and he's using her for politics.

This is going to be an interesting read mostly because I know the author in real life, and knew her before I found this book (or found out she was an author). I'm excited to see what it's like!

“Oh, I just think that a neat house is the sign of a boring person, that's all. And I don't really like to associate with boring people if I can help it.”

The main character Maddie Freemen, lives in a world where mostly everything is done on a computer, and by everything I mean everything. School, dating, friendships, shopping, even groceries are delivered to your house. Her father is the founder of Digital School. Maddie is okay with the digital life, until she meets Justin. Justin enjoys face-to-face interactions, so you could imagine how that affects Maddie.

MrsBabki Great post! Keep them coming! 6y
