Mehso-so

I had a bad feeling about this when I saw the intro was by Louv, whose book I found really disappointing. This book is disappointing, too, largely because it should say somewhere it‘s geared for pre-schoolers. Some of these ideas might have been fun when my kid was the right age (and we had more pronounced seasons) but there‘s little here that helps now.

Might be good for parents of littles, but I‘m not so sure.

Clare-Dragonfly Hmm. My son is 2, but… I‘m not sure we need ideas for activities! “Go out in the forest” is plenty of an activity! 4y
ravenlee @Clare-Dragonfly there are some interesting ideas for increasing awareness and observation, along with very basic science explanations, which might be cool. Things like “let‘s observe worms and how they move; now let‘s try to move like worms do” plus a little bit about how worms don‘t have eyes but can sense light and dark. 4y
TheAromaofBooks Sorry this one didn't work out for you, but at least it's off the list!! 4y
ravenlee @TheAromaofBooks if I‘d read it when I first got it it might have been more useful, but there was no way to know if was for really young kids. Glad to free up some shelf space though! 4y
