I never really read any Madeline books growing up so I don‘t really have anything to compare this to. However, I thought the illustrations were delightful and the story charming.

#sweetchildomine (the elder), colouring some Pippa Pig next to his most recent stack from the library. He is very much his mother's child, leaving stacks of books on every surface. He doesn't like it when there's not a book out and easily accessible.
