The Predictions
The Predictions: A Novel | Bianca Zander
2 posts | 1 read
Gaialands, a bucolic vegan commune in the New Zealand wilderness, is the only home fifteen-year-old Poppy has ever known. It's the epitome of 1970s counterculturea place of free love, hard work, and high ideals . . . at least in theory. But Gaialands's strict principles are shaken when new arrival Shakti claims the commune's energy needs to be healed and harnesses her divination powers in a ceremony called the Predictions. Poppy is predicted to find her true love overseas, so when her boyfriend, Lukas, leaves Gaialands to fulfill his dream of starting a punk rock band in London, she follows him. In London, Poppy falls into a life that looks very like the one her prediction promised, but is it the one she truly wants? The Predictions is a mesmerizing, magical novel of fate, love, mistakes, and finding your place in the world.

Lindy I haven't read Solar Bones or 4321, so I have to leave them out, but I would be happy if any of the other four win the Booker. Autumn is my personal favourite. 7y
Theresa I've read 1 but own 3 others. Unfortunately I'm so behind in reading challenges that I'm sure I won't get to any of them before 2018. Ugh! 7y
Suet624 Loved reading your thoughts on each book. Thanks so much. 7y

I was nominated a couple of times to show my #fivestarpredictions from my #TBR pile. Couldn't get on until today... these top 4 are part (yes part) of my pile and my guess for five ⭐️'s!

LibrarianJen I've read Dawn by Eli Weissel but not Night. Let me know how you like it! (edited) 7y
Cupofjo Oh no! @librarianJen Lol, I didn't know there was another one... should I read Dawn first?? (edited) 7y
Cupofjo No, Night is first in a trilogy.. then Dawn, then Day... 7y
