Was in the mood for a cosy mystery, so I thought I'd get back to rereading this series. I'm not sure if I'll keep the books once I've worked my way through the whole thing; I like Daisy well enough, but I'm not sure I'll reread again in future, tbh. So much reliance on coincidence in every book, it just doesn't quite sit right.

Which is not to say it's not fun! Just not a permanent keeper, perhaps.

The Daisy Dalrymple series continues as Daisy and Alec and friends take a voyage across the Atlantic to America. What could possibly happen on a ship? Well…

Another fun addition to the series. Daisy is resourceful and kind, and she does not shy away from danger!

Pretty much my only complaint with this series is that I cannot *believe* how Daisy keeps falling over dead bodies! She doesn't even have Phryne Fisher's excuse of setting up as a PI. Mostly the formula is still working for me. Each mystery varies enough in its trappings to stay interesting.

Bk9 in the Daisy Dalrymple series is finished.Not my favourite so far,it was still fun I just guessed the ending about halfway through this time.Still highly recommend the series as a whole to lovers of Phryne & Dame Agatha.Daisy & her new husband Alec have been ordered to America to consult with the FBI. Taking ship with Phillip Petrie,his wife Gloria & her father, they get involved with a man thrown overboard, a shooting & another man overboard.
