Pickpick

Just finished this urban fantasy for #lmpbc. Sarah Beauhall is a blacksmith working multiple jobs to make ends meet. When she reforges an old sword for one of her jobs, her life starts to spin out of control. I don‘t want to give away too much, but suffice to say I enjoyed it. Great pick, @Pogue ! @HerDarkHuntress1 @MeganAnn

Mehso-so

A decent read, but I didn't find it overly compelling. I found the changing PoVs distracting. And after the matter-of-fact acknowledgment of the protagonist's girlfriend, I found her internalized homophobia disappointing. But I love the idea of a female blacksmith fighting dragons and other creatures, so I'm may continue with this series. #fantasy

Picked this one up because I thought a female blacksmith, dwarves and dragons sounded fun. Turns out I didn't read the synopsis far enough and the main character is queer, too, which is awesome. #fantasy #lgbt
