Selfish, disobedient girl! I know you're up there. I can see fresh fig skins on the ground!

I wouldn't out this book in my classroom. The concepts are too complicated and most students won't be able to grasp onto it.

Panpan

This book would be very confusing to the average elementary student. Nhamo's experiences aren't relatable to the average child besides her laziness to work in the village. Students will struggle to relate to this girl and her experiences. Nevertheless, the author dos a good job staying away from basic stereotypes and speaks in the ethnic language.
