Fans of Sophie Kinsella and the Shopaholic series will fall in love withLanie Howard young, fabulous, and desperate to transform her life in this funny, quirky, and endearing story about finding perfect happiness in life s most imperfect moments.WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMON-DROP MARTINIS...Real-estate broker Lanie Howard figures she has the perfect man, the perfect job, and the perfect life. Then she stumbles across her old Someday Jar, the forgotten glass relic where she stashed all the childhood wishes no matter how crazy that her father encouraged her to write down on the backs of Chinese restaurant fortunes. She used to be fun once! What happened to her? DON'T CHOKE ON THE RIND.Although Lanie is wary of uncorking her past, when an attractive stranger saves her from a life-or-death encounter with a lemon peel at the bottom of a martini glass, she realizes that life is way too short for regrets. Now, jar in hand, Lanie decides to throw caution to the wind, and carry out everything she had once hoped to do, even if it means leaving her perfectly perfect life behind "

Not exactly book related, but I saw this challenge about daily gratitude last year on social media and vowed give it a try. Now that the year is halfway (gulp) over, I‘m struggling to find things to write down (and running out of places to write them). Anyone else take part in a challenge like this?

Eggs I did a daily gratitude journal ? and I felt blessed. But I extended it: what/how i wish to be. Then put in present tense and express gratitude for that. Like "I am grateful for my weight loss. I am grateful for my healthy fit body. I am grateful for all the laughter and abundance in my life" etc etc. What you think about, you bring about. It works?? (edited) 6y
Purrfectpages @Eggs I wonder if I‘ve repeated any ideas so far, but I‘m proud I made it this far. Maybe I should write THAT down! Lol 6y
mhillis Yes! I just write one thing down on the calendar every day. It‘s a good habit for me 6y
CoffeeNBooks I used to post "Things I Love Today" on facebook every day. Usually it was just the little things in life that we tend to overlook- glitter, a pretty nail polish color, kind words from someone, etc. I thought it would annoy people, but my friends appreciated my determination to focus on the positive. Now I keep a list of "Things to Be Happy About" in my bullet journal. 6y

I made my TBR jar! Before I discovered #DollarTree books, I didn't own many books. I borrowed from the library to save money and space. I plan to donate any I don't plan to read again to the #LittleFreeLibrary. I logged all the titles and the goal is to read 3 TBR for each library book until this stack is whittled down. For fun, I put slips in jar for "free pick", "pick from daughter's shelf", "blue book", etc. Now to finish #GoneWithTheClown ??

Notafraidofwords I'm sort of similar to you in that way. I don't on many books mostly because I just don't have the space. A borrow a lot from the library and I don't really have an intense emotional connection to books and when I know I'm not gonna reread them I usually give them away. (edited) 7y

Jinjer What's a TBR jar???? I need that adorable table!!!!! 7y
Wife @Jinjer I put titles of all my To Be Read books on slips of paper. I will pull out a slip to determine my next read. I found the table at a Salvation Army store a few years ago for $10! Thanks. I think it's adorable too 😊 7y
TerriGreen I love this idea so much I am going to make a TBR jar for myself! Like you I don't save physical books, I pass them on to family and friends when done. I went to a Half Price Books clearance sale recently, but instead of reading those books I keep going to the library. This will be good motivation. 7y
Wife @TerriGreen I got the idea from others Littens, so I can't take the credit. Please post when you make your jar. 🤓 7y
Lmstraubie That is such a cute idea! 7y
