A short novella about Bobby Draper and her nephew. The story here did make it's way into the TV show as well, though with some significant changes. But, it's cool to see that they really worked with all the material available to them.

This is a bit of a teen-Expanse novella- and since this brand of action Sci-Fi is steeped in rock-em-sock-em writing- don‘t get me wrong, I‘m a fan, but this stuff is not Tolstoy- this one is almost too much even for this fan.

Reading the expanse novellas now. This was a quick read focusing on the Draper family on Mars. ⭐⭐⭐ The other books have set a very high standard.

"They don't hate us," Bobbie said, her voice tired. "They're afraid of us."

"Then why do they act like they hate us?" David's father said with something like triumph.

"Because that's what fear looks like when it needs someplace to go."
