Hourly History has books on Amazon for free that deal with different topics in history. They are quick reads, usually less than 100 pages. This one looked at the building and sinking off the Titanic, as long as some of its passengers. It talked about some rumors and superstitions about the book. Overall, a good brief look at one of the tragic events in history.

Chrissyreadit I‘m going to check out this hourly history. Thanks for sharing! 2y
Monica5 @Chrissyreadit you are welcome. I enjoy them. Sometimes you come across one that isn't proof read very good, but I still like them 2y

This is a quick read with a concise description of the ship and the disaster of its sinking, and it was available for free for Kindle. It really can be read in about an hour, so there's not a lot of detail.

I'm looking for more nonfiction Titanic resources for my 7th graders to use for an essay during the spring semester. Feel free to share your best recommendations for junior high readers.

MrBook Here's the story: someone asked for their drink on the rocks -> the boat sinks -> everyone knows ice forms lakes and mountains but everyone's amazed that ice sank a ship ..... 🙄 7y
Libby1 I live near the official Titanic Museum in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It would be worthwhile to have a look at their website to see if there is a recommended books section. 7y
