Recently finished reading this book recently, and it had me laughing so much with its silliness, sarcasm, and anachronistic references. An instant favourite!

Pickpick

This book constantly has me giggling out loud. In public waiting rooms, when my husband is trying to sleep next to me, you name it. I‘ve not read any of the other The Pirates! books before, but want to find more now. Highly recommend if you‘re looking for a laugh!

CarolynM Sounds good. Stacked. 6y
KerriNTurner @CarolynM definitely worth a read! 6y

This #5thbookinaseries is perhaps my favorite of the whole series. Pirates and Romantic poets. The best! #PiratesLife #WhatAWayToLive

CrowCAH Awesome; looks good! And not two things often associated with each other: pirates and poets! Lol 7y

I am positive the Pirate Captain has a pithy remark about hats in this series. Which you should all read.

This is my hat. It had an ostrich feather until my cat got it. I'm making due with a pheasant feather till I can replace it. One of these days I will post a full costume pic.

CrowCAH The feathers just add the right touch to your hat!!! Perfect 😁☠️ 7y

It's international #talklikeapirateday or so Twitter tells me anyway :) so pirate themed post! This is the only book that I've read in this series but I have to say I was most amused by the Pirates antics running around with Byron etc. I love pirate books please give me some food recs for this! Fiction or non fiction I'm not fussy :) ☠☠☠☠

LeahBergen Here is one that I bought but haven't got to yet 8y
Soubhiville This is the second of the Gentlemen Bastards series, the first being The Lies of Locke Lamora. A fantastic fantasy series, if your into that! 8y
TheLondonBookworm @Soubhiville Holy Moly the second one has pirates??? I'm about half way through Lies currently and I love it, so you've just made me even more excited to move onto the next one 😆😆😆 8y

TheLondonBookworm @LeahBergen Not heard of that one but sounds like a good read, thanks :) 8y
Soubhiville Yay! The second one has lots of pirates and sea faring! Also a second in a series, fantasy, since you don't mind fantasy series, is Kushiel's Chosen. It's not all about pirates, but there are some in there, and JC and her Kushiel books are among my favorite books! 8y
quirkyreader This might just be how I see, the pirate "vernacular" to me it sounds like the Bournemouth accent from the 17th and 18th century. 8y
TheLondonBookworm @Soubhiville I love fantasy! It's probably my favourite genre :) That looks great, right up my street thanks 🙏 8y
TheLondonBookworm @quirkyreader haha I don't really know what that accent would be! But In my head it's a bit like a Somerset farmer.... 8y
