readinginthedark @Linsy This book is from a newer series about a modern Amelia Bedelia as a child. She's not really anything like the old one, who I adore, but the newer ones are still pretty cute and easier for younger kids to understand. 7y

readinginthedark @RealLifeReading They're really fun! Basically, she's a maid who gets all of her instructions mixed up because of words and phrases that have two meanings. 7y

Linsy @readinginthedark Cool! Thanks for the explanation; I worried that I remembered everything wrong, lol. I found Amelia Bedelia so hilarious as a kid! For some reason it's really stuck with me. 7y

readinginthedark @Linsy Oh, me too! I think it's a really good way to expand a child's vocabulary, too! Maybe that's why it seems so important. Also, so funny! Not a lot of books are really goofy and lovable like that. 7y
