Look at these chickpea cutlets. Who can possibly make canned chickpeas this dry? These things look drier than the corn bread muffins on the same page and corn bread is SUPPOSED to be dry and crumbly. I could turn these into bird feed crumbles with one sneeze that's how dry these are I can't believe it

Mehso-so

Ya know what nope after some more thought this is only getting a 3 star and a so-so rating because the faux meat foods this author has made literally look like they are going to crack and crumble apart if you touch them. That's how dry they look. Meatballs should not have a cracked crust I don't care if they are meatless or not okay guys okay

Pickpick

I'm a bit under halfway done with this cookbook but I've got a very clear sense of what it's about, so here are my thoughts:
- recipes look delicious, and there are several vegan adaptations of traditional food that don't look terrible which can be rare to find in vegan cookbooks
- the beginning is like "bowls! So easy! So simple! So delish!" Okay Jackie but nothing about ~a dozen plus~ ingredients in a recipe can be called "simple"

monkeygirlsmama The bowl on the cover made my tummy rumble. 😋 7y
ReadingEnvy I always think of those kinds of recipes as prep cook recipes. Someone else does the work and the "chef" just has to assemble and serve. Works well in restaurants but that's not how I work at home 7y

queerbookreader @ReadingEnvy Who even has the time?? If it takes more than like four dishes to make then it's only getting made for a fancy holiday dinner I don't have the energy to make something with a zillion ingredients for Wednesday night dinner 7y
ReadingEnvy @thequeerspiderwoman definitely. I follow all these meal prep people in Instagram but what I seem to lack is that extra day which is devoted to meal prep for the week 😂 7y

🎶 Guess whoooooooooooo went to the fancy central library today 🎶 peep the preview before I do the whole multi-post spread. I really gotta start bringing a wagon with me when I go to other town libraries. #bookhaul

charl08 Ooh the main library. Love those big libraries! 7y
