In a world where diplomacy has become celebrity, a young ambassador survives an assassination attempt and must join with an undercover paparazzo in a race to save her life, spin the story, and secure the future of her young country in this near-future political thriller from the acclaimed author of Mechanique and The Girls at Kingfisher Club. When Suyana, Face of the United Amazonia Rainforest Confederation, is secretly meeting Ethan of the United States for a date that can solidify a relationship for the struggling UARC, the last thing she expected was an assassination attempt. Daniel, a teen runaway turned paparazzi out for his big break, witnesses the first shot hit Suyana, and before he can think about it, he jumps into the fray, telling himself it’s not altruism, it’s the scoop. Now Suyana and Daniel are on the run—and if they don’t keep one step ahead, they’ll lose it all.

Pickpick

Another book I wish they had a choice between Pick and So-So. But I really started to enjoy it about halfway through. Justine Eyre does a wonderful narration but with all the names and random flashbacks, I think this might be easier to read than listen to. This is a political thriller which is not my cup of tea so I'm not sure if I will continue on but if I do I will be picking it up in paperback.

Day 3 of @bookriot #RiotGrams and it's one word title. These four one word title books are the ones currently sitting on my to be read pile which always seems like an never ending pile. 😅😅😅

What's your favourite one title book you recommend me adding to my TBR list?

I loved this fast-paced sci fi novel for many different reasons, but the thing that really jumped out at me is how Valentine plunges you into a new world and starts the story at a frenetic pace. You have to learn along the way, but it's never frustrating or difficult. It makes for a creative and fun read.

I enjoyed reading this #politicalfiction last year. Its my pick for today's #photoadaynov16. There's plenty of intrigue. I particularly like that the protagonist is a politician from South America, which I feel like is rare.

It was good, but I didn't love it. I couldn't really connect with any of the characters.
