Artisan's Wife
Artisan's Wife | Judith Miller
1 post | 1 read
Delightful Blend of History and Romance Ainslee McKay's world is shaken when she discovers her twin sister has not only eloped with a man she barely knows but now Ainslee must fulfill their obligation at a tile works in Weston, West Virginia. Ainslee must learn the ropes and, if she can keep the tile works profitable, her brother will help her sell the business. When Levi Judson arrives and shows Ainslee his designs for new tiles, she's impressed by his skill and passion for the business. But he's hiding his true reason for coming to Weston. And Ainslee knows he'd be crushed to learn his plans for a long career at McKay Tile Works are in vain since she intends to sell. Can the growing feelings between them survive if the truth comes to light--or is a future together as untenable as the future of the tile works itself?

Artisan's Wife | Judith Miller

I don't get art. It's suppose to be subjective but yet people can tell you you suck or you aren't good enough for something.

Last year my husband submitted his portfolio for the graphic design program. He didn't pass. The pass year he has been working really hard, has spent countless hours reworking his art. taking the advice from the people who judge his work last year.
He tried again this year and again was rejected.

My heart hurts for him

That-Bookish-Hiker Sorry not book related but I needed to vent. 7y
Leelee.reads Art is so personal that it would be extra hard to not take the rejection personally. And so much hard work went into his portfolio I'm sure. Hugs and support to both of you. ❤️ 7y
Smrloomis Sorry to hear this 😔 that's rough 7y
That-Bookish-Hiker @Leelee.reads thanks! I think today we will wallow and then tomorrow is all about new possibilities. It's his work but I feel like I'm a part of it as well. 7y
