Alison and Ryan are at “lovers lane” when the back door of the car opens and someone grabs Alison. Ryan is knocked out and doesn‘t remember what happened. Many years later, her car is found in the lake and Ryan gets wrapped up in what happened when they were in high school. This was a “popcorn” book - one that would make a great movie and was a fast read.

Three book series (Devlin and Falco) which is pretty good and perfect for people that like a light mystery (meaning no violence on the page)

Stella is a lawyer who has been asked to represent a little girl who is in the middle of a custody case. Her parents are getting divorced because her dad had an affair with the nanny AND the nanny died when she fell out of a window. The girl, Rose, is not talking and Stella must help the courts decide which parent she will live with while figuring out what happened to the nanny. This book gave off BABY TEETH vibes which was a book I loved.
Mae is a “black bag” publicist in LA, helping celebrities get out of trouble. She finally runs across a story that makes her question why she does this type of work. This book is fiction but it seems to be ripped right off social media with the Epstein/P Diddy exploitation in the headlines, and how powerful people don‘t seem to ever pay for their sins. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book is slowwww, but not in a bad way. A bunch of academics take a trip to a chalet to do some sort of academic stuff (??) and once they are all together for a few days, secrets begin to come out. Very locked room mystery type book and you have to be very patient to get to the payoff at the end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just finished the advanced copy of Leanne Morgan‘s book, WHAT IN THE WORLD?! She is just so genuine and funny. She‘s also “clean” funny, which kept her out of certain comedy clubs during her career, but I‘m glad that she stayed true to herself and God has blessed her because of it. In this book she talks about her faith and how things didn‘t work out early in her career but social media helped her blow up at just the right time

Selena meets a woman on the train in a moment when she is pretty vulnerable. She tells the woman a secret, and the woman tells her a secret as well. Selena thinks nothing of it until her secret comes true. I read this one in a day.
Cleo has been asked by her mother to come over for dinner. She‘s a student at NYU and feels liked her mom tries to control her life. She gets frustrated with her mom for telling her who to date and what to do. When she gets to her mom‘s house, she finds broken glass, a bloody shoe, and her mom is missing. As the police try to find her mom, Cleo does her own investigation and in the process realizes she and her mom are more alike than she thought.

I have the day off so I‘m going to start this ARC. I love her books❤️
There‘s a knock on the door. Erin goes to the door and sees her husband‘s partner along with a couple of other cops on the other side. As she is wondering why they are there, her husband, Danny, is in the living room, walks towards the balcony…and jumps. Fast forward in the book and she is now being tried for her husband‘s murder. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love this series with the Women‘s Murder Club. They are a quick read but still engaging and it‘s hard not to love these women❤️❤️

Beach day here in Florida. Ran by the library on my way to the beach and picked this one up.
This was such a fantastic book! The story of Marion, who became a Rockette in the 1950‘s, against the advice of her dad. He was trying to get her married off to her high school boyfriend, instead of being a dancer, a total waste of time
The story about a Ranger in Yellowstone and his life in the park, where he has to put up with tourists who don‘t know how to act around animals (anything for the Gram) poachers who want to make Yellowstone public land, and the other Rangers who like animals more than people. Beautiful writing and a novel that makes me want to head out West ❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just fininshed the one by Patterson, and it‘s a timely book about an out of control POTUS that has a vendetta against China and will do anything to put us in WW3.
Alex and her two kids are running from someone. She finds an “eco village” where they can live in peace (commune). However, there‘s an old farmhouse on the property where something happened years ago. Creepy things begin happening, and Alex has to decide how to protect her family. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
