This is a reread after seeing the musical. My first read was the original when it was first published. This go round I picked up the graphic novel version which I preferred. The illustrations really added to the story and because the book was written in verse, I think all the wording was kept rather than simplified as is often the case with graphic novels?! ❤️
PS The musical was awesome!

Daisey I thought the original was great, and I need to pick up the graphic novel. now

It was a slow start with this one, but it picked up towards the middle and then I couldn‘t put it down. I really loved these characters from the first book until now, and they all had wonderful arcs across both books in the series. There‘s heartache, beautiful dreams and amazing world building, romance, and plenty of magic. It ended beautifully and I‘m glad to have read this series.

Nine books for May! It was very hard to pick a favorite book for May but if forced to, I‘d pick the tagged book. Followed by a tie between Queen of the South and Sea of Tranquility. Four books this month for #Spain #foodandlit. Two books for #authoramonth. Two for #readingOceania #Palau and #NewZealand and of course all of them for #litsyatoz but mostly for #letterQ and #letterY

I'd read this a few weeks ago and enjoyed the #NancyDrewBR discussion hosted by @Librarybelle, but I'm just now catching up with a bunch of reviews.

This was another good installment in the series. I especially liked that we got a proper introduction to Ned Nickerson.

Book 42📚 4⭐️

After successfully solving the murder of Andie Bell last year, Pips podcast takes off; setting her up as a global sensation. But after swearing off future investigations a friends brother goes missing and asks for her help finding him. Where is Jamie Reynolds?

Book 41 📚 4.3⭐️

Definitely my favourite HJ book yet! Excited to read this series.

For Pips senior project she has decided to review a closed murder/suicide case from 5 years ago involving 2 students from her Highschool. But she doesn‘t believe Sal did it, and she‘s determined to find out who did.

Earth is on the brink of collapse, so when a message from a long-extinct alien race called the 'Undying' is intercepted, it seems like the perfect solution. The message leads to a now uninhabited planet called Gaia where it's rumoured that the temples hold tech worth a fortune. Mia Radcliffe is hoping to make enough money scavenging to buy her sister back from an illegal contract but she will have to compete against faster & stronger competitors.

OutsmartYourShelf Meanwhile Jules Addison is headed to Gaia to look for the evidence that proves/disproves his dad's theory once & for all. Addison Snr was the foremost scientist in decoding the message from the 'Undying' but a short while ago, he started saying that there was a hidden warning in the message & that the tech may not be the salvation Earth is hoping for. Now he is under arrest, & Jules & Mia may be his & humanity's only hope.

OutsmartYourShelf This has been sitting on my TBR shelf for several years, so I finally dusted it off. It was really quite good. It's YA so there's the enemies-to-lovers thing (it's usually either that, a love triangle, or insta-love), but the actual plot itself was very well thought out. The temple bit is very Indiana-Jones-The-Last-Crusade-but-in-space with the different puzzles to solve. 17h
OutsmartYourShelf Plus Jules & Mia are interesting characters & it was easy to become invested in their story. Overall it was a fast-paced adventure & there's a sequel to check out too. 4🌟
