#ReadAway2024 #SeriesLove2024

It‘s 2AM here & since I woke up & can‘t go back to sleep, I‘m going to keep playing catch up on May reviews.🤷🏻‍♀️

Book 7 in the Lady Sherlock series & now I‘m caught up with book 8 coming out next month! I feel into the series this year through #Pemberlittens #JaneAdjacent group & have loved it this year. Listened to this one on audiobook again as it was faster on library hold. Charlotte Holmes & her crew are ⬇️

DebinHawaii … at sea & of course, there‘s murder afoot. I can‘t share much plot detail because there would be spoilers from the other books but this is a good addition to the series & I love the ship setting & learning about the era‘s sea voyages & traveling. If you haven‘t read it, start with the first book: 26m

Here‘s my progress on this book. I‘m almost finished. I have 2 hrs left. I was listening to the audiobook and I felt like I had to stop because it was too much. I‘m enjoying the book but it‘s intense. I‘ve been listening to this book a little bit and then stopping because sometimes, it‘s too much and that seems to help. It‘s also a long book so I knew it would take me a while to read it. After this, I want to read books that are not so intense.

Here‘s my June TBR so far. I like using this tracker every month. I add a few books and set up the acronym/color coding system and then all month, I just start adding books that I‘m reading or what I want to read. I‘ve already finished the first short story for the #noplacelikeholmes readalong and I‘ve already started the tagged book. I made more progress in the audiobook tonight. I have 2 hrs left of the book now.

Make a great day everyone 😊

Lesliereadsalot Isn‘t it so fun there? We were there on the hottest day ever and felt so sorry for the teens working in the forge! Loved the gift shop where they sold the white dresses. 2h

This book follows a family starting in the 1950s. The father works in the oil industry and we see greater society‘s growing understanding about fossil fuels through the eyes of the kids in the activist 60s then the generations up to today. I became engrossed with this one quickly and didn‘t want to put it down. Be aware that while the cover is quite pretty, it really doesn‘t reflect the book.

Ugh, this was rough. I was so bored. Nothing happened. I felt connected to no one (minus Junia the mule 😆) and struggled to finish this. (25)

Today, I‘m sharing my #readyourkindle list for June. It‘s the same list. The only difference is that I‘ve added 7 more books to this list. I only have 1 mood read left because I started reading Beneath A Scarlet Sky for that one but I will finish reading it this month. I have 1 ebook on this list that would be a perfect book to read for Father‘s Day because it has a single dad. I don‘t have a dad anymore. He passed away in February 2014.
