60% in and I'm convinced of this book's (possibly the entire series') perfection. I love these characters. I love their complexity. I love the epic surprises this book keeps bringing. I'm so impressed. New fav.

This is a book for readers who love the YA-ness of YA fiction and aspiring YA writers. The two stories are both well crafted and interesting. I loved and laughed at all the YA publishing talk, but found it incredibly informative and helpful. I wasn't super surprised by the ending, but I really enjoyed all of it. 4 stars.

I love her music. I love her stories. I wish this were twice as long. But it's so good as is. I highly recommend listening to the audiobook. She sings acapella and brings life to her tales. LOVE it.

Reading this Trilogy taught me how not to write a series. The quirky southern society setting was lost as well as the engaging dynamic between characters as 2 were completely removed from the main plot. Lackluster humor and poor tension/pacing/plot. 2 stars for a predictable anticlimactic finale.

Sophomore slump. Not as good as the first, but still interesting and funny. The dynamic between the characters gets more interesting as the paladin plot becomes less so. Still set in southern belle pageant society, which is amusing if bizarre.

I loved everything about this book. 100% of it. It was everything I wanted and more. I laughed out loud. I held my breath; my heart rate sped up. I cried a little. It was perfect for me. The characters are hilarious and compelling. Great pacing and worldbuilding.
5 star YA fantasy adventure!

I adored this book. WW2 books are always a gamble. You don't know if you'll feel crushed or victorious at the end. This one is beautiful and hilarious and sad and poetic. Cleave has become a new fav author basically overnight for me. So glad I bought this. Worth it.

I read this in summer. Every time, I fall in love—with the characters, traveling, trains, food, and Shakespeare. This is a moving coming of age story masquerading as an instalove summer holiday read. I feel so proud of Allison in the end. It's about finding your identity and every kind of love.

Funniest book I've ever read. She put words (vulgarity actually) to most of the thoughts I've had as a parent and a bunch I haven't had but totally understand. Highly recommend (especially the audiobook).

This has been on my TBR forever. I'd consider this a YA/MG crossover (the MC is 13). But I really enjoyed this cute, awkward mermaid tale. It's one of the shortest audiobooks I've listened to. But I'm definitely in for the rest of the series.

LOVE LOVE ALL THE LOVES. This hit the spot for me. Sweeping, epic romance. Intriguing parallel worlds and time travel. Fantastic, hilarious dialogue. Wonderful characters. Native American stories. And ALL THE FEELS. Five stars. I NEED THIS TO BECOME AN AUDIOBOOK NOW!

CaitlinCasillas I'm so glad you loved it!! I'll be starting it this week!! 8y

I know MLP best from her West Wing days. As a celebrity memoir addict, I can say this is one of the most unique. Some of the letters didn't interest me much. But most were captivating and fascinating in how she framed her life in relation to the addressee. I recommend it. Especially the audio.
