Mehso-so

⭐⭐⭐ This is more like 2.5 stars and I'm conflicted in how to rate this. This YA novel is about a young girl just starting high school who is grieving the recent loss of her sister. In terms of my personal enjoyment, I would have to rate it lower. I was invested enough to want to read it to the end but the story fell a little flat. That being said, I feel like this is an important story that needs to be told.

Pickpick

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This collection of short stories was so much fun to read. I was already a huge fan of Ken Liu, and I picked up this book because I wanted to read his translation of Chinese SF that he enjoyed.. as my first expose to Chinese SF. My favorite stories were Taking Care of God (Liu Cixin), Call Girl (Tang Fei) and Folding Beijing (Hao Jingfang).

With my dream Japan honeymoon one week away, I'm keeping myself distracted by catching up on some favorite manga series. 🌸
