I read it once before I became a mom and I read it once after becoming a mom. It was still heartbreaking but in a much stronger, piercing way.

One of my favorite books ever. It's one of those books you know were written with love. I sobbed at the end even though I knew what was going to happen. A must read and not only for those who want to understand what being black in America means.
