Parable of the Talents | Octavia E. Butler
Pickpick

Overall this book is fantastic. It's too close to our current political and natural climate for my comfort (way, way too close in some instances), but this is a good thing, in my opinion. So, so bummed this is the last in the series (rest well, Octavia!) but I've heard there are notes floating around that offer some hints on how it all ends...

Parable of the Talents | Octavia E. Butler

Beware: Ignorance Protects itself. Ignorance Promotes suspicion. Suspicion Engenders fear. Fear quails, Irrational and blind, Or fear looms, Defiant and closed. Blind, closed, Suspicious, afraid, Ignorance Protects itself, And protected, Ignorance grows.
