So I left American Heiress at work and was in a reading mood so I picked up the book Eligible. To sum it up, it's a modern day Pride and Prejudice retelling. I'm complete trash for P&P so I'm really enjoying this😄

I DNF'd this book about 45% of the way through. I was just really bored to be honest. None of the characters grabbed me and the plot just moved way too slowly. That being said I might try and give this book another try and see if it grabs me the second time I pick it up

ryleyreads This one definitely took a while to get into for me too. Plus I think because it was so long, I was so aware of the daunting amount I still had to read. I was able to get through it though, and I really enjoyed it, but I can totally see where you're coming from! 7y

petitepages @ryleyreads I might have been beginning a book slump too. So I will definitely have to try and pick it up again because so many people love it! 7y

ryleyreads @petitepages I think too you have to be in the headspace. Bracken does a great job of keeping things interesting, but a lot goes on and there are a lot of historical elements to go through. But I would definitely say to pick it up again when you're feeling it more into it 7y
