We all are, or have once been wallflowers. The shy creatures of the universe, strangled in a problematic world where everything is so confusing and hard.

It is an emotional, but very realistic story, about one kid, and all the things he learns while growing up. By learning things the hard way, by listening, by watching things happen to his friends and family, by just being a wallflower.

A book that speaks about feelings, and lack of them. Love and emotions. Art and passion. Psychology and memories. And how our childhood might define who we will become.

A woman kills her husband, and she refuses to talk for so many years. And now, a psychologist gets a chance to try and make her talk. So intense, so amazing. I loved it so much!

Full review on my blog!

When Maggie wakes up from a coma, the nurse tells her that she has been in an accident, her little daughter is dead, and her husband sold the house and left her.

Maggie doesn‘t remember a thing.

With no home, no family, and no memory, she has to find a way and discover what happened that day.

A thriller that will uncover the greatest of secrets everyone could have. A nail-biter this one, I tell you.

Full review is on my blog (see bio). 2/5⭐

An autobiography of a woman that goes through child molestation, a marriage full of sexual abuse, and a lot of suffering. A hard book to read.

It was a decent story, a powerful, motivational one, but not realistic. Of course these terrible things happened. But I didn‘t felt for the woman. Not in a way I usually would.

I can't handle a character who can't say no, and stays to be beaten by a man. Just no

A beautiful memoir, full of lively descriptions that make the scenes more realistic. A powerful story of love, bravery, tragedy, sacrifices and hope.

For me, too slow. I have tried reading it four times before finally finishing it. The line between here and DNF was very thin, therefore the stars.

I have read many of Coelho‘s books, even since I was a teenage girl. And all of them share something in common – the path of finding yourself. After reading Hippie, I believe that this is the the best one that covers this subject quite perfectly.

This is a story about people that travel the world, wear funny clothes and flowers in their hairs, and believe in peace, love and freedom.

I grew up with Disney movies, and my favourite was Ariel. And even though loving her for years, I have never read the original story. I decided to read it, to cherish it properly.

The story dropped my jaw, made me unable to sleep. It shook me quite hard.

If you are expecting a happy ending, there is NONE. A very dark story, with a sad and terrible end.

A great author, great descriptions, but a non fairytale end.

4/5 ⭐ - full review on my blog in bio.

I am probably one of the last people reading a Stephen King for the first time. Carrie was a lovely introduction to his world!

A story about Carrie, her crazy religious mother, her bullies and one prom night where everything goes horribly wrong.

This is a story that silently stands up to bullying, and by doing that raises such a strong voice in every corner of the world.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @innah96 Me too, it took me a long time to decide to try one of his “horror” books, and I still went in at the shallow end of the pool. I started with 11/22/63 which was excellent and more time travel, and now have progressed to The Stand which is more human caused plague and good verses evil...sounds like Carrie was the same way, more bullying and great understory than straight up horror. 8mo

tonyahoswalt I've read all of them, main series, the series that takes place 100 years earlier (my fav by the author), and the new series (anxiously awaiting book 3 that comes out in December). I have not yet read the newest short stories. Needless to say, I like them. Are they the best ever, no, maybe not, but they are good. Even my boss/friend, who is very picky, likes them, agreeing that they get better as you go along. 9mo
jerra @DGRachel I‘ll agree the first three aren‘t the greatest, but I will say she gets better as a writer as she goes on. The sixth book was probably the best in the series, and then her others are better than that. 9mo
jerra @Redwritinghood aw, I liked the tv show. But i like when my film/show adaptations differ from the books. They gave actual stories and personalities to people who the book didn‘t really care to until later on. They were limited too cause they could only take from TDI and TMI, everything else they couldn‘t touch. They had to make stuff up. But! 9mo
innah96 @tonyahoswalt That's amazing! I can't wait to read them all as well! 9mo
innah96 @jerra Awwwh, that's amazing! I would love to see how her writing progresses. 9mo
DGRachel @jerra I‘ve heard that, which is why I haven‘t taken them to the used bookstore for credit, yet, but there‘s so much else that I WANT to read on my shelves right now, that it‘s going to be awhile before I crack open book four. 😊 9mo
cassiemarie I‘ve read the whole series! Absolutely LOVE them! 9mo
innah96 @cassiemarie Amazing, I am looking forward to reading the next one. 9mo
cassiemarie @innah96 yeah! City of Ashes is a really good book :) 9mo

Mind blowing and unputdownable, this is one of those mystery thrillers that will keep you up at night until you see how it ends!

How do you stop a murder that‘s already happened?

Aiden is stuck in a new body every day, and he keeps reliving the same day until he reveals the mystery.

I loved this book so much! Incredibly smart and well written. Very satisfying end as well!

This is the first volume of the Awakened series. A typical story about a girl and a boy. The boy turns out to be a vampire, and must change the girl into a vampire too otherwise he'll kill her...

Flat characters, unbelievable plot and a sexist male protagonist - not for me.

I will still probably give book 2 a chance, as it's supposed to cover other people's POV.

This is an amazing story – a fiction fantasy that gathered Greek Mythology characters and created something entirely new.

A story about Alex, who is an Eternal, and Eternals are people that go through many lives.

I really enjoyed this book, and some of the characters were amazing. The story is awesome as well.

A great fantasy novel about Greek Mythology characters!

One minute Meara Quinn is making plans for how she will spend the Summer before her senior year and the next she‘s finding out that her mother‘s cancer has returned and they are moving in another city.

I really enjoyed this book – maybe I enjoyed it the most from all the other Young-Adult paranormal books I‘ve read. It was a great first book of a series, and I can‘t wait to dig in the rest of the series.

The first book from the Gallagher Academy Series!
A story about a teen girl, whose mum is the head mistress in the school. A school where they teach you all about spying and killing people.
But when on a mission, a girl suddenly falls in love, but the problem is - she was never trained for that!

Highly recommended - full review on my blog.

LibrarianRyan I love that book. I hate that cover. 10mo
innah96 @LibrarianRyan that's okay - I actually prefer this cover over the other one 💕🌼 10mo
LibrarianRyan @innah96 there are about six covers. I‘m not a fan of the modern cover but they are not bad. The original cover is similar to yours but less Amish looking. 10mo

Sleep, Merel, Sleep | Silke Stein

Full review is on my blog! 💕

This is a story about a little girl called Merel. This is also a story about how Merel one day can‘t sleep. This story also happens to be one of the most adorable middle grade stories that I have ever read. Silke Stein did an amazing job in portraying a little girl, and creating a magical world that we see through her eyes.

I highly recommend it! #children #litsy #love #middlegrade

Ignite was another book from Tea‘s Wishlist challenge. I did enjoy this book, even though I found it slow at first. We have a familiar setting of a girl that moves to a new place, makes friends and enemies right away, and discovers secrets. And, it turns out the boy she loves is a vampire.

If you love vampire stories - this book is the one for you!

Mehso-so

My first graphic novel /comic book. (can anyone explain the difference to me, please?)

I enjoyed Wonder Woman's battles, however, I don't think this should have been my first book. I would rather go with a beginning to end story next time.

I loved how the art changes through the years, even though there were some things that annoyed me and offended me.

I look forward to reading other #books of such kind.

What is your favourite #comic #book?

innah96 @WanderingBookaneer I added it to my TBR. Thank you!!! 11mo

innah96 @whatsthEStorey Thank you! Just added it! 11mo
LibrarianRyan A comic book is shorter. Serialized. When you collect multiple comic books together (usually 3 plus) you get a graphic novel. When the GN is not rebound comic books it‘s just longer. Think the difference between a novel and a novella. 11mo

Fans of mystery and Sherlock Holmes, this might be your next favourite book! I have never read a Sherlock Holmes book before, so I can't compare it.

I loved the beginning and suspense.

Watson - interesting character, though doesn't seem to have his own opinion.

Sherlock - So smart, but I also see him as one of the rude aristocrats.

I greatly recommend it if you love the Sherlock Holmes books!

DivaDiane You sound so enthusiastic! Why the so-so rating? 11mo
innah96 @DivaDiane Lol, I just realised this - it is not supposed to be so-so, it's supposed to be a pick haha. Thank you for noticing :D 11mo
Richryan52 @innah96 can you change that so-so to a pick. I‘m glad you enjoyed it! 10mo
