Bring it on. There's no place like anywhere but here.

// Here's to hoping this book is as good as I hope it is. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about it.

All I can say of this is WTF did I spend my time reading? It doesn't get actually interesting until page 200 and then at that point there's only like 45-47 pages left. That was by far the most interesting point in the book because of the only climax. The writing was also confusing. They say that repetition of the same word 3 times is a sign of insanity, so I mean... 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm just saying, if you loved this kudos to you but it wasn't for me.

Hero. Villian. Liar.

// Super excited to dig into this one today! I initially bought this because I loved the cover so let's see if the story is just as beautiful! (I will a picture of the cover later!)

I would say that if you're looking for something semi-thrilling/dangerous in a romantic aspect, this is for you. I liked it, but I didn't love it. Some parts of the book were hard to push myself through because I was just bored with it. However, I did end up liking the book, especially the sweet ending!

Because I have to. The sun keeps rising, and the seasons keep changing, and these are still people here I don't want to lose.

// I found this to be one of the most important quotes in the book. It really changed the outlook on where to go from here.

I picked this book up at a store near me that always always always ‼️‼️ has books at a super discounted price. (Lucky me, right?!) At first, I was a little *iffy* because it‘s not my usual genre. Very glad I took the chance because I‘m about half way in and it‘s giving me Romeo and Juliet/Hatfield and McCoy‘s vibes. 🤩 Has anyone else read this? What are your opinions? Any other feuding families you can relate this book to? 🤔

Definitely pick! I loved it through and through. The first part was a little twisty but it straightens itself out and turns into one grand story!

In Caraval, they warn you to get swept away but not too far away... and I‘ve already broken that rule. “Remember— it‘s only a game...” was so hard for me because it‘s so much more than that. It‘s a love story, a fairytale, a whole separate world apart from any we know. I was enticed by Caraval and captivated by Legendary. I mean, really?! How could you not? I felt like a player in the game that really wasn‘t a game in this. 🎪🎭

I get so busy sometimes that I forget to update when I‘ve finished a book or not, haha. I loved this book even more than the first. It just gives off a better vibe and is more fluid with how the story progresses. I‘m excited to see where the third book takes me to next. :)

I love this book so much. ❤️😅 usually I‘m pretty good at figuring out the twists of a book, but this one just kept my head spinning. I thought it would go one way, and it turned out the exact opposite. I‘m not one to reread many books, but I‘ll definitely be reading this one many more times!

I take my last final (which is prob & stats 😬) today, and I‘m nervous. 😅 Just getting in some last minute reading to calm the nerves so I can focus better. :)

A line from that other poem, the Tennyson one, comes to mind suddenly: The flood may bear me far.

If I had kept the poems from Grandfather, I‘d be riding on a flood that I couldn‘t stop. I did what I had to do; I did the right thing. But it is as though the rain outside pours on me, too, eroding my relief and leaving only regret: The poems are gone, and I can never get them back.

There are two quotes on this page of the book I wanted to post, so here goes.

"I swallow in surprise, and for a second, I feel an unexpected surge of anger: I didn't get to savor my last bite of cake."

"It is strange how we hold on to the pieces of the past while we wait for our futures."

**not my photo**
This book... 😭❤️ I couldn't tell y'all how much I loved it. It had my emotions on a never-ending rollercoaster. At times I would get so lost in it, that I felt like I was there. Experiencing all the characters troubles, misguidings, struggles, breakthroughs, plannings, etc. I found myself so engulfed in it, that I was deaf to the rest of the world. 🙈

Would she have told you if she was afraid? Is that something you've ever shown sympathy for?

Personally, I love the way Kaz doesn't show sympathy for anyone else's fear or even his own. It just goes to show that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Oh, my heart. 10/10. As I turn the last and final page of this book, I find myself empty. From the beginning, I was hooked. The character backstories, the intriguing plot, the vernacular. I'm impressed and surprised with how the book ended, and you best bet I'll be reading Crooked Kingdom the day it arrives in the mail.
