The books is based on a standup comedy act by Dovaleh G as seen by Avishai Lazar, an old friend of the stand up comedian. More than a stand up comedy act, Dovaleh is unraveling in front of the crowd.
The story is an Intense tide of various emotions. The deliberate uneasiness of being taken into someone's personal life is a constant throughout the novel. It is gripping and an unusual rendering of hearts basal emotions.

Devdutt Pattanaik's Sita is amazing. Sita is a revelation and the writer brings out his ace game in this book.

With a predictable plotline and hence hardly any suspense the story is narrated through 11 different PoVs which can get pretty tiresome. If you can, this could be missed.

Reading the book felt like the author gave me an all access pass into her journal/diary. Twinkle Khanna is witty, observant and highly insightful at places. More than an actress, or the wife or daughter of a star she seems like the quintessential urban, educated, intelligent women juggling her domestic and professional lives with dexterity. Her tone is satiric and that, I think, is super sexy and suave on a woman.
