Lady Midnight | Cassandra Clare

Cassandra Clare has been my favorite author since I was a teenager. I‘m FINALLY getting to this series after years of starting it and then putting it down for other books. Lady Midnight definitely didn‘t disappoint. As usual in Clare‘s writing you fall in love with the characters immediately and her beautiful world. And she sure knows how to write forbidden love arcs 😂 Can‘t wait to read the next book!

I wish CH would write more thrillers because I finished this in one sitting. Just when you think you know where the story is going, you get a curveball thrown at you. And usually I don‘t like when the ending is left wide open for interpretation, but it works so well here. I am definitely team manuscript #iykyk

I have just finished this book and I am speechless. I have not read a book in years where a twist made me close the book and just sit in silence, processing. I honestly could‘ve finished this book in one sitting. It‘s complex, it‘s heartwarming, yet also heartbreaking. I honestly wish I could experience reading it for the first time again.

This book sounded much more appealing to me than Normal People, so I figured I‘d give it a shot and I‘m very glad I did. This book made me think, a lot. About so many topics that people in their 20s and 30s wonder about. My favorite part of the book was the emails exchanged between Alice and Eileen where they pose these questions to one another and just try to figure out the world around them. And obviously there‘s romance as well 🥰
