Good information in subject matter that interests me, but I was sometimes distracted by the writing - bad literary devices, inconsistencies, timelines that didn‘t seem to make sense, passages that were hard to follow, and straight up typos - many more than I would have expected for a $30 book.

Loved this! As someone who entered the Outlander world through the show first (and watched the series several times 😬), I risked not liking the book as much because I don‘t like changing plots or characters I already have in my mind. Not a problem with this! I welcomed every difference, and the writing was excellent - beautifully descriptive but not so complex as to slow it down. Can‘t wait to read the next one!
