panThe book “It Ends With Us” by Colleen Hoover is a novel that is widely popular but I did not enjoy it. It is about a young girl named Lily who falls in love with her homeless neighbour, Atlas, whom she can't end up being with for unfortunate reasons. She eventually falls in love with someone else named Rhyle who seems to be perfect until he gets abusive. She leaves him and finds safety in Atlas again.
pickThis book is set in a dystopian time. The world was overrun by a corrupt government and climate change, everyone is complete controlled. The movement is called the reestablishment. The main character Juliette has a special ability that whenever she touches anyone they die. When her family discovered this they sent her away to a place worse than prison. The rest of the book entails the story of what she does after she escapes.
I found the writing style of it to be lacking in time or unnecessary. The most unnecessary plot of the story I found was Lily‘s obsession with Ellen Degeneres. The second thing I did not enjoy was how cliche it was. Examples of this include her name being Lily Rose Bloom and then her going on to open a flo (edited) 13mo
