I just couldn't finish it. Alice is a whiny entitled brat with serious anger issues that she uses as an excused to do and say all sorts of stupid sh*t included attempted vehicular manslaughter and sitting silently like a 3 year old does after a tantrum when she doesn't get her way. The story was slow and I just couldn't do it anymore.

This books was very well written considered the number of POV‘s it‘s written from. I‘m a sucker for a good space adventure and this one definitely fit the bill.

The Black Kids | Christina Hammonds Reed

You guys, my parents are talking about moving away if this continues,” Courtney says. “They‘re really scared. They think Los Angeles is getting too dangerous.” “They‘re rich white people,” I blurt out. “Who exactly do they think is coming after them?” My friends all turn and look at me like I have five heads.

I put off reading this book thinking it would be boring. I was so WRONG!! I absolutely loved it as devoured it in less than 24hrs. Willa is a fantastic main character who is fun to follow and the plot line is unique. I loved the use of complex words for middle grade readers that were made accessible by the author without sounding condescending. Very well written!

Normally reality fiction is not something I rave about; but this book change that for me! This is one of those books that I couldn‘t put down and finished in less than 24 hours. This novel is quite possibly my favourite reality young adult fiction I‘ve read in a very long time and I will definitely recommend this to some of my older students.
