I listened to this book and liked it immensely. Explains how fascists try to eliminate education that supports critical thinking, some background on unionism, and public vs private vs charter schools. A lot of information. Great book. I recommend it.

The last two chapters in part three in this book saved it being panned by me. The last chapter was about Lee Hays, a song writer and singer of protest songs in the late 1940‘s and early 1950‘s. I definitely want to read more about him. I almost bailed on the book after the first chapter, but I just started skimming through the book, something I very seldom do, and then read the last two chapters. Read it if you must. 🙏

Great pop-science book on off earth space settlements. Examines more factors in taking human life into space and/or other planets than I ever considered.
Just re-enforces my belief that we need to fix our planet.

TieDyeDude I haven't read this. I read their book Soonish, which was really well done, but I think this came out right around when I read Packing for Mars by Mary Roach 😕 2mo
TimEW Thank you, you gave me two more books to put on my reading list. 😊 2mo

I recommend this book. It covers US history that was never taught in the high school curriculum. It is dense with information and has a good bibliography on references used. I did have to take breaks from reading it, reading something lighter in subject matter, because of the intensity of the abuse ravaged upon indigenous people by the European invaders, then the continuing abuse of later immigrants to the USA who were not white.
