I enjoy light hearted and fun mysteries. This book (and series so far) seems to fill those pleasures. A haunted hotel in the middle of somewhere TX? Of course there is a ghost lingering and of course Alice and the gang need to solve it! Granny could steal the show though!

I recommend listening to this book rather than reading it. This book is tragic and devastatingly sad. It is extremely repetitive but my curiosity kept me reading it as I continued to look for hope for The Boy and The Father. It is short which, saves it-in my humble opinion. Give it a try.

I was a bit skeptical at first, as all I kept thinking- "This book has Bridget Fonda & Jennifer Jason Leigh all over the pages" (early 90's reference there) but it moved quickly, it was intriguing and I felt involved. I enjoyed it. Hope the movie holds up!
