This will be my first read of 2021 and also part of the reading goal I set for myself and the Goodreads Reading Challenge. Happy New Year, all! 🥂

Thrilling! I couldn‘t put this one down. It made a good companion for the past two gloomy days. I will say that I was not a big fan of the ending but I loved it regardless.

The Power | Naomi Alderman

Reading two books in January inspired me to change my 2019 goal to not only reading a new book each month, but also finish one up from my TBC shelf. For February, I will be reading Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer (unfinished read) and The Power by Naomi Alderman (new read). This month, I am also challenging myself to incorporate a third book into my reading, This Body‘s Not Big Enough For The Both Of Us Edgar Cantero. Let‘s see how this goes.

I have had a personal relationship with God and after talking to my aunt over the weekend and telling her my journey, she decided to loan me this book. She said I may enjoy this book and it may even better validate my feelings towards my personal life and how I choose to live it. Let‘s see how great of a book this turns out to be. Time to get cozy on this cold California evening. 💜

Book finished. An incredible read and comparison. Made me think about human interaction and self awareness a little differently. This book also makes me think about interactions between species and how are decisions made by an individual animal. It kind of got slow at the end but still a great read. 4/5

I am about 58 pages into this and the way Patti describes her early life is very captivating. I cannot put this read down!

Time to finish up this July read. Only like 550 pages behind but I plan on finishing this by next week. I have other reads to get to. Feeling behind but I will get back on track.

Time to finish what I started back in February. This is for one of the book club reads that my significant other and I chose to read. Because I am lazy, we didn't get to finish this for February. But I plan on finishing this before the end of August along with The Wind Up Bird Chronicle. I am going to commit to being a better reader and finish/restart some books that I left off in the past so I can start some brand new reads soon.

These are the books that I am starting for my book blog and also for my joint book club venture with my significant other. It's going to be an interesting summer but I cannot wait to get back on track with reading. My info about my book blog to come in future posts but for now I want to make it my goal to make reading a habit again since I have not been an avid reader in some time. Hopefully Bookling helps me stay on track.
