Pickpick

I loved this book so much that I find it difficult to pinpoint exactly what I liked about it. The whole story felt like a cozy cup of tea with friends - which was nice to escape from *points vaguely* whatever 2020 is.

I received this book from my mum as a gift last Christmas 🎄 📚

1) I haven‘t actually had any unusual jobs, tbh.

2) This week I am thankful to be able to quarantine with people I love and in a house with air conditioning #ThankfulThursday @TheSpineView @MySharonaK

Accepting death doesn‘t mean that you won‘t be devastated when someone you love dies. It means you will be able to focus on your grief, unburdened by bigger existential questions like “Why do people die?” and “Why is this happening to me?” Death isn‘t happening to you. Death is happening to us all.

Meh. I can't pinpoint it precisely, but I found this book a drag to get through. I wanted to give up, but honestly, I wanted to see if the ending was worth the slog. It wasn't.

I mean, it wasn‘t all terrible, there were parts that held my interest, but the majority of the book was just not my cup of tea.

Also, I found the manipulative nature of certain characters in this novel to be genuinely triggering to my anxiety.
