Pickpick

A harrowing story of a Jewish doctor and the efforts he and his peers go through in order to protect their own in the ghettos of Warsaw.

Pain, heartbreak, love and anguish run throughout this story, transporting you back to a poignent part of history, making you appreciate the determination those suffering during this time had, to survive and selflessly protect others.

I read this a while ago but didn‘t get round to posting. I really couldn‘t stop thinking about the stories within this incredible book after reading it. Adam Kay‘s junior doctor diary lets you into the fascinating stories and humans he helped during his time in the hospitals.

It made me laugh, cry, squirm and wonder. A true look into the life of those who dedicate their lives to looking after us. An absolute must read.

KurtRobson Amazing. Thank you for sharing! 5y
