This book was an exceptional read! Amy is absolutely terrifying, and cleverly written. I wish it ended differently though; I wish something else happened to Amy. I‘m not sure what else, just something else.

The.Great.Catsby I completely agree. I wanted a different ending. But I enjoyed the book! 11mo
LitThot I enjoyed the book too! I also really like Flynn‘s writing style. 11mo

Pickpick

Half the World is the second book in the Shattered Sea trilogy, and it definitely feels like it. The story builds off the first book, but leaves certain stories open for the third book. I enjoyed reading this book! Yarvi is less annoying in this book, and there‘s a new main character, Thorn.

Half a King was very entertaining! The story was well-written. The main character, Yarvi, can be a little annoying though. It‘s based around old Viking culture, which I liked, but the book never outright says that.

Mehso-so

Let me start by saying, this book isn‘t bad at all; it kept my interest enough that I was able to read it in 4 days. I like how she weaved a story about different people far away from each other in both time and distance but still intricately connected to each other.

I agree that it lacks in depth a little. Also, the beginning is slow and the story doesn‘t pick up pace until half way through.

You could pick a much worse book to read, however.

paper.reveries Ah darn! It's on my shelf and I've been meaning to read it. Hope it isn't too lackluster for me :) 11mo
LitThot I think most people should be able to get something out of it. The beginning is a little too slow, but once you‘re past that, it‘s pretty good! 11mo
