This book was a slow burn for me. There was not a moment that I didn't enjoy it, but it definitely picked up at the end. It was beautifully written and I loved learning a little history along with a little mythology. It was a heartfelt and warm read.

I wanted to like this so much! Moriaty is my go to author for escapism when I've had a hard week. However, I could not get into this. It took too long to get to what happened at the hyped up BBQ that when you actually found out, it was kind of sad and disappointing. This book will in no way keep me from reading everything that she writes because I adore her, but this was just not my favorite.

This book was such a roller coaster! The moment everything began connecting, I KNEW this book was going to stay with me. What a phenomenal ending.
